I've very much appreciated the time off. I've barely used a computer at all, taking the opportunity of being
on call to focus on anything computer based.
My side project has gone really well - it's ready to go in its most basic form, but I am wondering if it
will annoy some people when it's released, so I'm holding fire for a week or two to get some more opinions.
I think it would genuinely be a good resource for the community, and have already found it useful myself
whilst developing it!
Without giving too much away, it's a very data heavy site that will require a lot of work to initially
populate, but hopefully shouldn't require a great deal going forward. My aim is that it will be very easy to
contribute to by the wider community, and will also help to make the Ruby community more accessible to all.
On a related note to the above; I'm actually quite liking Bridgetown. It's fitting my needs very well, and I
do very much like the fact that it's not JavaScript! Maybe I'll convert this site from 11ty over to it in the new year?
Christmas was a mixed bag as it so often is, that said; I had a really lovely time with my wife and
daughter! They're both real cuties 🥰.
Finally, I managed to finish the whole season without a single mince pie; which I definitely consider a
success.
